Michigan Basketball: Joshua Christopher updates timeline, names top four
Michigan basketball made the top four announced by Joshua Christopher on Friday and it sounds like the five-star will have a decision soon.
With each day, Michigan basketball seems to be getting closer and closer to landing a commitment from five-star recruit Joshua Christopher.
If you haven’t been following the recruitment that closely, Christopher is now a full-on Michigan basketball lean as the Wolverines own all of his crystal ball projections from 247 sports.
The 6-foot-5 guard, who ranks 10th overall in the 2020 class would be the latest feather in the cap for Juwan Howard, the Michigan head coach who currently has the No. 4 class in the country.
Right now, the Wolverines hold commitments from five-star Isaiah Todd, as well as four-star recruits Hunter Dickinson and Terrance Williams. Howard’s son, Jace Howard, a three-star, has also committed.

And, after Christopher posted his final four on Twitter, which included UCLA, Arizona State and Missouri, it still feels like the Wolverines are heavy favorites.
The biggest competition would seem to come from UCLA, since it’s close to home for Christopher. UCLA was also the most recent team to have a crystal ball projection for Christopher. Yet, in recent weeks, all the predictions have gone for Michigan basketball, which is now the heavy favorite to land him.
The top four isn’t news because Christopher already released his and there wasn’t a change in this update. The bigger news for Michigan basketball fans is that Christopher could be making a decision soon.
A date hasn’t been specified at this point for the shooting guard, but a decision has felt imminent and this could be the proof, although we are still waiting to hear the exact date of his announcement.
For Michigan, it would be yet another piece of good news for a program that’s been winning on the court recently, as well as off of it with recruiting.
People joked about Juwan Howard bringing the Fab Five back to Michigan and it seems he is, just with the 2020 recruiting class.
