Michigan Football: 5 Breakout candidates for Wolverines on offense
Erick All
During his first season with Michigan football, Erick All didn’t make a huge impact. However, that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have potential. In fact, the 6-foot-4 tight end, who used to be a wide receiver is a guy that could turn into a mismatch for the Wolverines.
He enrolled early and took part in spring football last year, even making a catch up the sideline in the spring game. But he only caught one pass for 10 yards last season. His blocking probably held him back a little, because Sean McKeon was solid in that area along with Nick Eubanks.
What could make him really valuable is the ability to play as a tight end, an H-back or a wide receiver. If the Wolverines want to be able to do more up-tempo stuff and substitute personnel less, All could be part of that along with Eubanks, who will return after catching 24 passes for 293 yards and four touchdowns.
I expect similar production from Eubanks next season, but if someone at the position is going to make a jump, it might be All, who seems poised for a much more productive season.
