Livers will play and Michigan will end the streak

It seems like Livers has been getting closer and closer to playing and if he looks good in practice, my bet is that he plays. This is an essential game for Michigan basketball and a healthy Livers, or one that is at least close, would give U-M a better chance.

I don’t think he will come on and play a ton of minutes and with the way Johns has been playing, Michigan won’t need to. However, his shooting, his defense, his rebounding and just his energy is much needed.

The Wolverines never need extra motivation against the Spartans but you know Simpson and Jon Teske will do everything they can to avoid going out with a five-game losing skid to the Spartans, so that will give Michigan a chance.

Getting the win though will require great efforts from younger guys like Livers, Wagner, Johns and David DeJulius. We shouldn’t forget about Austin Davis and Eli Brooks too, because all hands need to be on deck.

It will be tough and it won’t be a shock if the Spartans win a close one. But the streak has to end soon and I got a feeling Simpson and Teske, along with Livers, will help end it Saturday.
