Adrien Nunez

The Brooklyn, New York native was hailed as a sharpshooter when he signed with the Wolverines in 2018. The Wolverines have yet to see Nunez blossom into that shooter in year two. He was a starter to begin the season but lost that spot before the trip to the Bahamas.

He was moved to the bench and since then he has seen sporadic minutes. When Nunez gets extended minutes, it seems like his teammates are trying to get him going. They get him a couple of looks to see if he can catch fire. He has yet to have that coming out game that we have seen from Dejulius and Johns.

Nunez is currently shooting 26 percent from behind the long line and that won’t cut it. He is on the outside looking in on Howard’s tight rotation. The minutes are sparse but when he gets into a game whether it is four minutes or 10, he needs to make those count. A few good stretches could be all he needs to find his stroke.

Jury is still out

The four players that remain from the 2018 recruiting class are still blazing their trail in Ann Arbor. They have had their highs, and their lows and most importantly, they are still learning how to play college basketball. Johns and Dejulius have taken advantage of the opportunity in front of them. Nunez and Castleton are still trying to find their role on the team.

The players are still writing their stories in the maize and blue. One thing is for certain, there is still a lot of untapped potential in all four players.
