David Dejulius

Dejulius had about as clear cut a role as any of the rising sophomores coming into this season. He was going to be Zavier Simpson‘s backup at the point guard position. That is exactly what David has done so far this season. He has been able to learn from Zavier and hone his craft.

Dejulius has not lacked confidence this season. He comes into games and gives life to the guys on the court. He has the ability to create his own shot and has a scorers mentality. David can come into a game and have a couple of buckets before the fans can even blink.

His minutes have fluctuated lately. He had a start against Nebraska in place of Simpson where he played 34 minutes. The next game against Rutgers, Dejulius only saw the court for six minutes. He then played 17 minutes against Ohio State. With the fluctuation in minutes Dejulius has had, it can be tough to find a groove.

With consistent minutes, Dejulius will be a valuable part of Michigan basketball’s rotation for the rest of the season. He is continuing to make strides in his second season in Ann Arbor.
