Questionable Officiating

Social media was a buzz at how awful the officials were in this one. A lot of missed or non calls that impacted certain possessions in such a close outing. The biased home crowd made their intentions known on those mistakes with a loud chorus of boos that reigned down all over Crisler Arena during those awkward moments.

When the replays were shown on the video board, it became painfully obvious at how badly the refs missed them. The mantra of let them play got taken out of context with how it played out. When officials get in the way of the outcome of a highly coveted matchup, then it takes away from an encounter that will be remembered for the wrong reasons in this rivalry for ages.

The most talked about call was flagrant on Simpson at the end of the game. Coach Howard had every right to be ticked about a foul that ultimately did his guys in for good. He became a little animated with the expression on his face immediately after hearing of the decision. Then he threw his suit off in disgust in a scene that not many would have thought Howard had in him.
