Can Michigan make it three in a row?

So far in Big Ten play, Ohio State is 1-4 and that win came last week against Northwestern, which isn’t Michigan basketball.

And while Michigan is 4-6 in the conference, just about each of those losses was close, so it wasn’t like the  Wolverines weren’t awful, things just weren’t clicking. Now they are, even without Isaiah Livers.

There hasn’t been much said about Livers this week, so who knows if he plays or not, but even if he does, it will be hard to reduce the minutes of Johns who has 36 points, 18 rebounds and five 3-pointers in his last two games.

With Johns and Wagner making shots, it takes the pressure off of Zavier Simpson and Jon Teske. It allows Simpson to find guys for open shots instead of forcing them. Teske should also be able to take advantage inside and Austin Davis, who has been a revelation of late, should score too.

Ultimately, at home, against a team without one of its top scorers, I see Michigan basketball finding a way to win and strengthen its NCAA resume even more.
