Overseas and going pro

It’s not just Greg Brown and Joshua Christopher that are potential additions to the Wolverines roster next season, there’s also Jace Howard. While it’s not likely all three decide to commit, Michigan basketball can open up two slots if Isaiah Todd chooses to go overseas and Isaiah Livers forgoes his final year of eligibility for the NBA.

The naysayers believe Livers isn’t ready for the next step. That’s not statistically correct. Consider D.J. Wilson who averaged 11 points per game and shot 37% from three or Jordan Poole who averaged 12.8 points with the same three-point percentage, both first-rounders. Currently, Isaiah is averaging 13.6 points and hitting an unnatural 50% from deep.

And then there are the overseas rumors with Todd.

“I see that they are doing their thing over there,” Todd said referring to R.J. Hampton and LaMelo Ball. “I have talked to R.J. about how he likes it over there and how things are like off of the floor and what the differences would be compared to that and college. He said he loves it.”

Isaiah Todd didn’t sign during the early period, pouring fuel on the rumor fires that surrounded him even before he made his verbal pledge. No one wants to see Todd go, but it’s understandable if he chooses to take his skills elsewhere.
