Michigan Basketball: Latest on Isaiah Todd, new commit Hunter Dickinson
Check out the latest with a pair of Michigan basketball commits, five-star Isaiah Todd and four-star Hunter Dickinson.
Michigan basketball has been killing it on the recruiting trail and the momentum continued recently with the commitment of four-star power forward Terrance Williams on Jan. 1.
That decision pushed Michigan basketball all the way to No. 4 in the 247 college basketball recruiting rankings for 2020, a ranking the Wolverines haven’t achieved in the history of those rankings.
So it’s been a good couple of months. The momentum really started with the additions of Isaiah Todd and Hunter Dickinson. Of course, there is still a lot of concern about Todd actually signing because he hasn’t yet, however, The Michigan Insider ($) has an update on that front.
And basically, it’s that nothing has changed and Todd is still expected to go Michigan. Obviously, Michigan basketball fans will worry until he signs his letter of intent, but take it for what it’s worth.

Dickinson isn’t quite as highly rated as Todd but he is one of the best centers in the 2020 class and the 7-footer is going to be an ideal replacement for Jon Teske who will graduate after this season.
Dickinson is an old-school big man. He can score with his back to the basket and he’s an effective rebounder and this weekend, he showed off those skills against high school power Mater Dei, scoring 18 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. This is according to a report by 247 sports.
With Todd, Dickinson, Williams and Zeb Jackson in the fold, the Wolverines already have a loaded class, yet there is still hope of adding more talent. One possibility is five-star Joshua Christopher, who recently got a crystal ball projecting him to Michigan. Additionally, he tweeted that he was watching the game between Michigan and Michigan State Sunday.
And last but not least, Jace Howard, the son of Juwan Howard, said that he was going to be making his announcement this month. He said that via Twitter and that will be one to watch.
Howard is a three-star prospect according to 247 sports and there has been some thought that he could be a preferred walk-on for the Wolverines. Howard does have other offers though and may need to weigh playing for his father against getting significant playing time somewhere else.
