The offense appears to be on the right track

The transition for Michigan football to the offense of Josh Gattis wasn’t easy and it wasn’t always smooth. Patterson was thinking too much early in the season and the whole thing was a work in progress.

Things started to turn around though and after the Notre Dame game, the offense hit its stride. There were moments against both Alabama and Ohio State, yet in each game, there wasn’t consistency for four quarters and that’s the next step.

But with Hassan Haskins, Zach Charbonnet, Ronnie Bell, Chris Evans, Mike Sainristil, Giles Jackson, Cornelius Johnson, Nick Eubanks, Erick All each slated to return, along with McCaffrey or Milton at quarterback, the future is bright.

There are some dynamic weapons that will fit the system better than Nico Collins or Donovan Peoples-Jones, who could leave for the NFL. If those guys do come back, the offense will be loaded with skill guys but it will be anyway and after a year of adapting, the offense seems ready to take on off in 2020, as long as the quarterbacks are ready.
