#4: 01/25/2014 – Nik Stauskas Blows Kisses in East Lansing, Leads Michigan Past Michigan State

Shocker, another Michigan/Michigan State matchup.

Nik Stauskas took Ann Arbor by storm following the departure of Trey Burke, becoming the new go-to-guy for John Beilein in 2014. There are many moments that defined Stauskas’ time with the University of Michigan, but none stand out more than on January 25th of that year, where Stauskas would become a legend for the program.

After already defeating Wisconsin earlier in the week (who was ranked in the top-10), the Wolverines were seeking another quality top-10 victory, taking on the third-ranked Spartans on the road.

Stauskas dropped 19 points (5-6 from downtown) against a Spartans that had the core of Keith Appling, Gary Harris, and Denzel Valentine, and took down Michigan State by a score of 80-75.

The Mississauga Ontario native silenced the crowd with his clutch shooting and finished it all off by kissing the opposing crowd, becoming an instant favorite among Michigan basketball fans.
