#5: 03/11/2016 – Kam Chatman’s Buzzer Beater Against #1 Indiana

Although Kam Chatman may not have had a long career with the Michigan Basketball program, it was his game-winning shot in the quarter-finals of the 2016 Big Ten Tournament that will always be his shining moment.

After not even making it to the NCAA Tournament or the NIT the year before, the Michigan Basketball program was in a little bit of a confusing situation.

Caris LeVert was out for the season, and the Wolverines were doing everything they can to claw their way into the “Big Dance”.

With the Wolverines needing a signature win to bolster their resume for a spot in the NCAA Tournament, Michigan had the perfect opportunity to accomplish their goal, with a date against the #1 seed in the tournament, and the Big Ten regular-season champions, the Indiana Hoosiers.

In a game that was deadlocked in a tie and that seemed to be heading into overtime, Chatman had the ball in his hands in the dying moments, and made something out of nothing:

The Wolverines may have lost later in the NCAA tournament, but, Chatman’s buzzer-beater ultimately became the crowning moment that Michigan needed to earn a bid into the big dance.
