Michigan Basketball: Wolverines top 10 Moments of the Decade
#1: 03/29/2013 – Trey Burke – The Shot
The 30-footer.
With No.1 and No. 2 on the list, every Michigan basketball fan can remember where they were and who they were watching with when Jordan Poole, and especially when Trey Burke hit their infamous shots for their school in the NCAA Tournament.
After not scoring in the first half in the Sweet 16 matchup against the top-seeded Kansas Jayhawks, Trey Burke would orchestrate a 14-point comeback in seven minutes, giving the Wolverines one last shot at extending the game into overtime.
Well, Wolverine fans know the rest.
Burke would continue to dominate in overtime, ultimately sealing the victory, to send Michigan to the Elite 8 against Florida for a spot in the Final Four.
