Michigan Basketball: 3 predictions for the Wolverines against Iowa
Wolverines will shoot the ball much better
Make no mistake, Louisville is a very good defensive team and that had a lot to do with Michigan’s struggles to score Tuesday.
However, traveling to the Bahamas, playing three games, going home for a few days and traveling again to play the No. 1 team on the road isn’t easy and the Wolverines certainly looked sluggish.
Michigan basketball was also terrible shooting the ball. From 3-point range, the Wolverines shot 15 percent and made just 25 percent of their shots overall. Jon Teske was the top scorer and he made six field goals, however, it took him 18 attempts.
Tonight, scoring should be much easier. For one, the Wolverines will be at home and hopefully, a little more rested. But beyond that, Iowa is a much different animal defensively and the Hawkeyes are 190th or lower in field-goal percentage defense overall, on 2’s and on 3’s.
So after some adjustments and some time to rest, expect Michigan to get going, especially if 3-point shooters like Isaiah Livers, David DeJulius, Franz Wagner and Eli Brooks can get going.
