Michigan Football: Breaking down 3 likely bowl scenarios for Wolverines
Gator Bowl
Tennessee is a great example of why people shouldn’t overreact to what they see. The Vols were totally written off and some said that their program was dead.
Well, all Tennessee did was turn around and win seven games, five in the SEC and now, it could be headed to the Gator Bowl.
Michigan could also be headed to that destination and while it’s not a bad game, it offers the least attractive matchup by far. It would be a lower-tier SEC team and with the way that’s stacking up, it won’t be anyone ranked.
That makes it lose a little bit of luster. It seems like Tennessee could be headed to Jacksonville for the game or the other possibility is Kentucky, another 7-5 team.
Obviously, a bowl win is a bowl win, but beating those teams won’t move the meter much for the Wolverines and a loss, to either, would just add to the embarrassment.
It’s hard to imagine ending the season in a worse way than with a loss to a Tennessee team that most college football fans were mocking in September.
