The Game is just hours away now and here is what you need today for kickoff between Michigan football and Ohio State, with how to watch, odds, storylines and more.

It’s nearly time. After waiting over a year to get another chance at Ohio State, the Michigan football team will get an opportunity to end the heartbreak Saturday at the Big House.

The Wolverines, who have lost seven in a row to Ohio State and 14 of 15 overall, are the No. 13 team according to the College Football Playoff rankings while ranking 10th in the AP poll.

Ohio State, on the other hand, is ranked second in the AP poll and first in the playoff rankings. Michigan football has beaten Ohio State five times when its ranked first or second in a major poll, plus once in the BCS rankings, so it has happened before.

In 1995 and 1996, Michigan football was ranked outside the top 10 and beat undefeated, second-ranked Ohio State in back-to-back seasons, as well as in 1969, when Bo Schembechler and UM engineered an upset over No. 1 Ohio State. That win started the 10-year war.

Now, Jim Harbaugh needs a win to restart that war. He’s 0-4 against the Buckeyes but gets his first chance to face Ryan Day. He’s at home. Has the best quarterback he’s had during his tenure and his team is clicking, having won four straight by at least 25 points.

There are reasons to feel good as a Michigan fan and obviously, if you cheer for the other side, there is no crisis of confidence. The Buckeyes expect to win and so do their fans.

In a few hours, we will find out what happens, but quickly, here’s how to watch and stream, followed by a look at the odds, storylines and more.

Storylines

We have looked at this matchup in just about every way possible. The Wolverines come into this game as an 8.5-point underdog and we all know Harbaugh’s record with his team as an underdog. 68 percent of betters are taking Ohio State and a majority are also taking the over which is at 50.5-51.5 points. Of course, the weather could have a big impact, especially if it’s really windy and cold. It looked like there could be some snow too, however, the chances don’t appear as likely with the chance of precipitation is around 20 percent. The wind could have a factor on throwing the football and that could limit points but I expect both teams to be in the 20s.

While Michigan football hasn’t beaten Ohio State since 2011, its last two wins have come with really good quarterbacks, John Navarre and Denard Robinson.

Both of those guys helped write their legacies by winning that game and Shea Patterson can do the same. We also broke down the five things that must happen for Michigan to beat the Buckeyes.

If you want to get more familiar with the enemy, here is an in-depth look at the Buckeyes, as well as three potential X-factors for Michigan football in The Game. We also have five predictions for what should be a classic game in college football’s greatest rivalry.

The wait for The Game is nearly over and by this afternoon, we’ll find out if the suffering finally ends for Michigan football and its fans.
