The Game is fast approaching and an undefeated monster is on its way to Ann Arbor to clash with a rising Michigan football team. Here’s everything you need to know about OSU.

It should come as no surprise to anyone that specific numbers and statistics are thrown around to illustrate the lopsidedness of the heated rivalry between Ohio State and Michigan football. Seven game winning streak, 62-39, 0-4 for Jim Harbaugh against Ohio State, are the typical talking points used by those in the media both locally and nationally.

Although, the historical data fails to tell the tail of what the Wolverines will be getting themselves into on Saturday. Statistically speaking, the Buckeyes are by far the better team. Total yards, yards allowed,  point per game, and points allowed per game are all dominated by OSU. The most staggering of which is the 127-yard difference the teams average per contest (OSU 530.4, MICH 402.6).

Numbers, in this case, are what we have to compare considering the polar opposite schedules. Michigan faced it’s two toughest opponents on the road while Ohio State had the pleasure of hosting those same two teams.

Some would argue Michigan might be the undefeated one had the roles been reversed, but that’s neither here nor there. It’s more of an excuse for the poor performances the Wolverines put together in its two losses – the second of which initiated a remarkable turnaround.

Speaking of a turnaround, fans have moved on from the bench Shea Patterson to the brink of building him a statue outside the Big House. If they win Saturday and Shea continues with his magical ways, it could happen.

Where not here to talk about Shea, however, we’re here to get a better understanding of the Buckeyes.
