Michigan Football: 5 predictions for the Wolverines against Ohio State
Can Michigan finally beat Ohio State?
This series has turned into a nightmare for the Wolverines and every person associated with Michigan football wants the losing streak to end desperately.
It feels like a win over Ohio State could propel this program to the next level. It just has to get over this hump first. Harbaugh is 0-4 and all of the seniors are hoping to end their career with a win over the one team they haven’t been able to defeat.
A month or so ago, people would have laughed at the idea of Michigan upsetting Ohio State. But after winning four in a row, all by at least 25 points, UM has changed the narrative. Even Paul Finebaum picked the Wolverines this week.
You get the feeling that his team believes. Harbaugh has done a tremendous job turning this season around and even with a loss, it might be the best job he has done at the helm. Gattis has worked out and Don Brown has the defense functioning at a high level.
However, Ohio State is a different animal and beating this Ohio State team seems like an especially difficult task. I do believe Michigan will play well, make the game competitive and in the fourth quarter, the Wolverines will have a chance to win.
But until I see Michigan beat Ohio State, I won’t believe it will happen. UM will put forth a truly valiant effort, yet fall short in the end.
Final score: Ohio State 24, Michigan 20
