Wins over Notre Dame and Michigan State

While every Michigan football fan certainly wants to win the rivalry game being played on Saturday, the Wolverines have scored two impressive wins already this season and that shouldn’t be forgotten.

When Notre Dame came to Ann Arbor, the vultures were circling the wagons. People didn’t know what to expect from the Wolverines and the Irish were No. 8 in the country and still right in the mix for the College Football Playoff.

Hell, had the Irish won that game, they might be in the top four right now or at least very close.

Instead, Michigan took it a team that went to the playoff in 2018 and nearly beat Georgia, behind the woodshed. It wasn’t just a win, it was an annihilation.

The Wolverines physically dominated their opponent and in the process, earned their first win over a top-10 team since 2016. Then, a few weeks later, Michigan whipped up on “little brother” 44-10, giving Harbaugh a 3-2 mark against Sparty and now a 1-1 record against Notre Dame.

Those were two really good wins and now, if Michigan can just beat Ohio State, we will have even more reason to give thanks for this football team.
