Defense keeps doing work

It’s hard not to be impressed with the way that Michigan football has played defense since the Penn State game.

Really since the second half of that game, the defense has hit its stride. Indiana had a really solid start and it took some adjusting, but once the defense settled in, the Hoosiers couldn’t get anything going.

The run defense was outstanding again, limiting the Hoosiers to fewer than three yards per attempt while applying plenty of pressure on Patrick Ramsey which took its toll.

It was the Indiana game a year ago when the crossing routes started hurting the Wolverines and it foreshadowed a tough performance against Ohio State.

This time though, Michigan was really sharp and you have to feel like this defense is ready for the ultimate challenge of slowing down the Buckeyes. Don Brown hasn’t really been able to do it with the Wolverines, except in 2016.

You know he has been preparing for a year to make amends for 2018 and now we will see if his defense is up to the challenge.
