Shea’s Slinging Right On Time

Shea Patterson is playing the best football of his life. It took sometime to perfect Josh Gattis’s system, but Patterson has accomplished just that. His only blemish during this two game stretch was an interception against IU. If Patterson can somehow do it on the Buckeyes, then Michigan’s chances of winning improve drastically.

Nico Collins was the primary beneficiary of Patterson’s heroics today. For the second consecutive game, Collins surpassed 150 yards, which Ronnie Bell broke that barrier just a week ago. Collins also managed three scores, while Bell earned his first well overdue touchdown of the season. DPJ added 73 more yards and his own trip to the endzone.

Patterson is just four more td’s away from tying the regular season record. He’s also the fourth quarterback in Michigan football history to throw for 20+ touchdowns in multiple years according to ESPN stats & info. He nearly tied Jake Rudock’s six scores that he had back in 2015. Patterson will seek to break a lot more records next Saturday with Ohio State now directly in his way.
