Ronnie Bell Was unstoppable

The sensational sophomore continued his stellar play with a career day against the Spartans. Nine grabs are more than he had all of last season combined. He’s also tripled his output from 2018 and then some. On the day, he averaged 17 yards a crack which is actually his season average as well. He’s been Patterson’s go-to receiver all year and should remain the same in the final two regular-season outings.

Another positive that won’t come up in the stats is the blocking of the wideouts. They consistently showed up on a lot of plays throughout. Screens, run-pass options and the blocking downfield was absolutely tremendous. They opened gaping holes for whoever had the ball in their hands to get several chunks on those certain play calls.

Today’s showing is a testament to how hard Bell has worked coming into 2019. His head coach raved about him being the best player on the offense and Bell proved him right again. With a trio of more talented pass catchers beside him, Bell is standing out like a sore thumb. He’s an undervalued prospect who could be a number one guy on almost any other team in the nation.
