Michigan Football: 5 predictions for Wolverines against Michigan State
Pass rush will ruin Lewerke’s day
Defensive coordinator Don Brown loves to bring pressure and he is known for his man-to-man coverages. Only Brown is using less man and playing more zone.
The defensive coordinator has done a good job of adjusting and honestly, he has helped turn things around this season. His unit was lights out in the wins over Iowa and Notre Dame.
On Saturday, the defense can add another notch in its belt.
Some Michigan fans might have the idea that Michigan State doesn’t have any talent on offense and that’s not necessarily true. Elijah Collins is averaging five yards per attempt and Cody White is coming off a 128-yard game.
The problem is a lack of consistency. The other is turnovers. Generally, quarterbacks make mistakes when they get hit and are under duress and Lewerke is going to be under duress.
Michigan is going to get to Lewerke and that will lead not just to some sacks, but also an interception or two.
