Michigan wins going away

There are no easy wins in the Big Ten, particularly on the road but this Michigan football team just seems poised to dominate Maryland on Saturday.

It silenced the critics by destroying a top-10 team at home and now it’s time to do the same to a 3-5 team on the road. Consistency is what this Michigan team needs to find. It has found it over the last six quarters and it needs to continue it.

Much like the Illinois game, I expect the Wolverines to come out strong and grab an early lead. The weather hasn’t been great for the last two trips to College Park, so that could be something to watch.

The difference between this game and Illinois is that the defense won’t let the Terps back into it. The secondary is playing more zone and the pass rush is getting better. Maryland also does a lot of work on the ground and that isn’t ideal against a stout Wolverines front seven.

Michigan should play well enough to win the game by three or four touchdowns and it will be the kind of win that keeps the positive momentum moving forward with Sparty up next.
