Who starts?

We know that Simpson, Teske and Livers are going to start. Eli Brooks too, although that could possibly change once Franz Wagner returns from injury.

Either way, we will get a chance to learn about the lineup and rotation, at least early in the season, tonight. If we assume Brooks is the shooting guard, then we can either expect Johns to start at the four or Adrien Nunez to start at the three as he did against Detroit.

Johns has been nursing an injury and while he’s healthy, Howard may just go with Nunez, who fits the wing better and is known for his 3-point shooting, which will be much needed in a lineup where Livers is the only other reliable perimeter shooter.

Brooks has potential, but he hasn’t shot the ball consistently throughout his time in Ann Arbor. If Nunez gets the nod, Johns, Castleton and DeJulius should be the first three off the bench, along with Cole Bajema, who also could be thrust into early minutes due to a lack of 3-point shooting.

We have been waiting for months to see what the starting lineup would be and tonight, we will get answers.
