Michigan Football: 5 Predictions for Wolverines against Penn State
Charbonnet and the running game keep rolling
Penn State’s run defense has been downright nasty this season, allowing just 1.6 yards per rush. However, as previously mentioned, the level of competition hasn’t been great.
Still, it’s going to be a huge challenge but after the Wolverines ran for nearly 300 yards last week, including getting both Zach Charbonnet and Hassan Haskins over 100 yards, they seem up to the challenge.
Michigan was also able to rush for over 120 yards against Iowa, which was an improvement over the past and Charbonnet only carried the ball five times. He now appears healthy and he has a legitimate No. in Haskins. Tru Wilson has also been a steadying presence.
The offensive line is finding its rhythm and in that Wisconsin game, Jon Runyan was making his first start after injury. He’s healthy too and that’s been huge.
I don’t necessarily see the offense rushing for 300 yards or anything, but I see Charbonnet grinding out 100 yards and as a team, I think UM finishes between 175-200.
