Michigan football will travel to Happy Valley Saturday for a showdown with Penn State. Here are five predictions for the Wolverines and Nittany Lions.

It’s another week and yet another defining game for Michigan football and head coach Jim Harbaugh. This time, the 16th-ranked Wolverines travel to No. 7 Penn State.

College Gameday will be in attendance at a Michigan football game for the second time this season and it will be a whiteout game, just like it was two years ago when these teams met under the lights.

That was a disaster for Michigan, as the Wolverines dropped the game 42-13. That’s when it became clear that there was a problem at the quarterback position and two years later, it’s not clear if it’s been fixed.

One positive going into this game is that Harbaugh has done well against James Franklin, posting a 3-1 record. We all remember how Michigan pushed around Penn State last season as part of the revenge tour, so you can bet the Nittany Lions want some sort of revenge too.

While the offense continues to struggle, the defense has gotten better and better. That unit gives the Wolverines the best chance to win, as long as the offense can take care of the ball and score some points when the opportunity arises.

Penn State has looked great at times, but their level of competition has been pretty weak. The best win for both teams right now has been Iowa, so it’s time to put up or shut up and here are my five predictions for the game.
