Michigan Football: 5 things we learned about Wolverines against Illinois
Can Michigan handle Penn State? Who knows
Michigan football faces another huge test next Saturday when it will head to 10th-ranked Penn State, a team that’s undefeated and fresh off a road win over Iowa.
Penn State looked much more impressive in its win over the Hawkeyes than the Wolverines did last Saturday and Michigan will need to play its best game of the season if it wants to leave Happy Valley as the victor.
Penn State will surely remember the beatdown Michigan gave the Nittany Lions last season, so that adds another element. College Gameday will also be in attendance for the “White Out.”
The Wolverines will be underdogs and we haven’t really seen anything in the last three weeks that would lead you to believe them capable of pulling this upset. They have all the pieces: a great defense, a running game, a quarterback.
However, when push comes to shove, the team makes mistakes and hasn’t put together a solid four quarters this season outside of Rutgers.
The truth is that I have no idea what to expect from Michigan football next Saturday. A defining win is certainly possible, but so is another devastating loss.
