The Offense Is Invisible

It really doesn’t matter where Josh Gattis puts himself on gameday.

The coordinator appears to be in over his head thus far in Ann Arbor. He couldn’t muster any steady offense to put the game on ice. That is a disturbing trend that’s been a constant through patches in nearly every contest this year. Everyone knows that something must change instantaneously, but don’t expect the maize and blue to show anything different anytime soon.

Credit has to be given to the Iowa defense as well. They kept Patterson from finding anything downfield besides one big play to Collins. It took the trio of wideouts for Michigan out of the game and made them pedestrian. It’s the exact gameplan that will be enforced by the Wolverines upcoming opponents to stop them from doing things offensively. Needless to say, Michigan has got to find a way to eliminate that.

Moving onward, the Wolverines must find a spark on offense. It cannot repeat itself with the schedule that is in front of them if they plan to make some noise on the national level. With that being said, it’s hard to imagine an offense like that going into collisions with Penn State, Notre Dame, and Michigan State and coming out victorious.
