Patterson will take care of the ball

The biggest issue with Shea Patterson this season has been his inability to take care of the football. His fumbling issues have been well documented and while he has only thrown one interception, his accuracy has also been a problem.

However, he did show some signs in the fourth quarter against Wisconsin and maybe the offense as a whole can have some confidence in throwing the ball down the field.

Looking at what the Wolverines have in terms of personnel, that seems like something the offense should be centered around. Donovan Peoples-Jones, Nico Collins and Tarik Black are three of the best players on the team, as is Ronnie Bell and they need to be showcased.

I am not saying that Patterson will light it up Saturday, although it wouldn’t be surprising if he did. After all, if he doesn’t get it together against Rutgers, his next stop will likely be the bench.
