Michigan will make it to the Sweet Sixteen

Who would’ve thought an eight seed Wolverine team could elevate their play to a point where they survive all the way to the sweet sixteen?

That’s what’s going to happen what Michigan takes the court for March Madness.

Again, not so farfetched. With a favorable bracket, the Wolverines could easily slide themselves into the Sweet Sixteen and possibly further. During the 2019 tournament, 12 seed Oregon decimated Wisconsin and obliterated UC Irvine before falling five points shy of upsetting one seed Virginia.

That’s why it’s called March Madness. Anything can happen, and it always does. And if Michigan draws an eight seed, and fabricates a deep push, it won’t even be considered a Cinderella story. This is Michigan, not Loyola–Chicago.

There are at least two or three guys on the team with NBA potential which doesn’t include Simpson or Wagner. And in fact, Wagner was already playing professional basketball overseas; he’s prepared for the game. However, the preparation that matters will fall on Howard. If the players are in sync, winning will come naturally.

The Wolverines are realistically one great three-point shooter away from having everything they need to be extremely successful in not only the Big Ten but also in the NCAA Tournament.

With that said, the success Juwan Howard enjoys in his first year directly ties into the final prediction.
