Michigan Football: 5 things we learned in blowout loss at Wisconsin
The fanbase is turning on Harbaugh
The numbers with Jim Harbaugh are ugly. He’s 0-4 against Ohio State, 1-9 against top-10 teams and 0-7 as an underdog.
That being said, watching his team get beaten down and demolished just minutes into the game was a new low. At least in Columbus, it was still a one-score game around halftime. This was never in doubt.
Wisconsin toyed with Michigan football and that was sad to see. Charles Woodson called it embarrassing and he was right. Harbaugh should be ashamed as should the entire team.
Certainly, there will be still the Harbaugh people who will ask who will be better than Jim?
That’s a good question. My answer is just about anyone. If you can’t get your team up for that game, something is wrong. If the same thing happens over and over again versus elite teams, it’s no a pattern, it’s who you are.
Harbaugh was an elite coach in the NFL and even with Stanford. He’s not anymore. His magic has worn off and unless he somehow finds it before now and the end of the season, this might be his last year on the job.
At the very least, he is closer to the end than he’s ever been. If things get better, he will be safe. But if his team continues to get worse, he needs to go, plain and simple.
