Running back is a mess

The whole Zach Charbonnet fiasco is just a mess and it’s classic Michigan. Harbaugh holds the information close to the vest hoping to get some advantage, then ends up looking stupid.

Essentially, he said Charbonnet was limited. No, Jim, he’s hurt, otherwise, you would have started him. You also wouldn’t have resorted to giving the ball to a former fullback turned defensive lineman on second and goal in the first quarter.

Not having Charbonnet and Tru Wilson was a killer. Christian Turner clearly has no clue when it comes to pass protection and as a runner, he’s pedestrian at best. The entire offensive line struggled, including Jon Runyan Jr.

The quarterback, whoever it is, needs help from some kind of running game. He also needs a back that can assist in pass protection. Hopefully, Wilson can come back this week, because we know Charbonnet isn’t himself, no matter what the coaches say.
