Michigan Football: 5 things we learned in blowout loss at Wisconsin
Don Brown can’t hack it
Just like with Shea Patterson, I am finished making excuses for Don Brown. I said he should have been fired after the Peach Bowl and three games into 2019, it’s more clear than ever.
For all the great numbers Michigan football has put up with him as the defensive coordinator when his units face ranked teams, they get exposed.
During his four-year career at Michigan, against ranked teams on the road, his defenses are allowing more than 32 points a game. And if you take out the seven points allowed to Michigan State last season, it’s 36.5.
36.5. That’s pathetic.
Brown never adjusts and he never has any answers. Ohio State will run circles around his defense, just like Wisconsin did. He’s the most overrated assistant in the country and his departure is overdue.
Heads need to roll starting with Brown. If Harbaugh did it first thing Monday, it might be a nice wake-up call for a team desperately in need of one.
