Michigan football: 5 things that went wrong against Wisconsin

It’s hard to fault the Wolverines for anything that happened when they didn’t have the ball Saturday.
That being said, the Badgers simply came to play.
Michigan’s success against Army’s triple-option didn’t translate in any way, shape or form to another methodical, ground-and-pound attack of a different scheme.
Wisconsin ground the Wolverines to a pulp with two first-half drives of over 70 yards and at least six minutes. In the process, Taylor, the best running back in the country, got plenty of chances to prove why he deserved that status, averaging almost 10 yards per carry. So did the Badgers’ massive offensive line, which opened holes for everybody.
It might not have helped much if they had, the way Wisconsin played Saturday. But Michigan offered no resistance anyway.
