Who wins?

This is a huge game for both teams, but there is more riding on this one for Michigan football than Wisconsin.

If the Wolverines lose, the doubt about their ability to win big games will only grow and the calls for Jim Harbaugh to be fired will only increase. It will also leave the team with zero margin for error if it wants to win the Big Ten East.

Harbaugh is 2-1 against Wisconsin and there really is no question that Michigan has the more talented team. The problem is that for the past year or so especially, the team hasn’t lived up to that talent, particularly on offense.

If the Wolverines are ever going to get past that 10-win plateau, they need to win games like this and to do that, the offense has to be good, if not great. Patterson needs to show everyone why he is the quarterback and the guy to lead this team past Ohio State once and for all.

Following the bye week, Patterson knows what’s at stake. So does his head coach and offensive coordinator. So hopefully, we FINALLY see this offense unleashed. If not, this game is a toss-up that likely goes to Wisconsin.

But if Michigan football is aggressive and attacks with the passing game, it will win. It’s really that simple. The Wolverines have the talent, it’s time to take advantage of it.
