Michigan football hits the road to take on Wisconsin Saturday and here are five bold predictions for the Wolverines against the Badgers.

It didn’t take long for the Michigan football team to be questioned and to face some adversity and shockingly, it has happened before the Wolverines have even lost a game.

Fans are in a panic after Michigan football needed overtime to beat Army two weeks ago and some already believe this year’s team is destined to repeat the same failures of the past.

While that might certainly end up being true, Saturday in Madison is when we will truly learn about this Michigan team for the first time.

This is when we will learn if Michigan is capable of beating a top-15 team on the road, something it hasn’t done since Chad Henne and Mario Manningham led the Wolverines to an upset win over Brady Quinn and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in 2006.

Saturday is when we will learn if Shea Patterson is the real deal. He was supposed to be the missing piece and so far, he hasn’t been. Patterson has been above average, there is no denying that, but if he can’t win this game, it’s fair to question if he’s the answer.

Winning in Madison is never easy and after the 38-13 pounding Michigan gave the Badgers last season, you can bet they will be motivated. They also have a new quarterback and one of the best backs in the country in Jonathan Taylor.

If the Wolverines are who we hope they can be, they will win this game. If not, well then it’s back to the same old talking points. With that in mind, here are five predictions.
