Michigan Football: 5 predictions for Wolverines against Army
Army’s offense will cause some problems
Talking about dual-threat quarterbacks, the Wolverines have to deal with a potent one in Army’s Kelvin Hopkins Jr. Last season, he threw and rushed for more than 1,000 yards and while he was held under 100 yards last week, doing that again won’t be easy.
Down in and down out, I expect the Wolverines to be fine against the option. Michigan football has much better athletes and simply better football players. Army only has a few three-stars on their entire roster.
But the execution is something the Black Knights do very well and with the aggressive way Don Brown likes to attack offenses, it could lead to a big play or two because of a broken assignment.
Tackling is huge against any team but it’s critical out on the edge against the option. Michigan will tackle well for the most part, but Hopkins will break a big run or two and get over 100 yards. But it won’t be enough to make it a competitive game or pull an upset.
