Michigan Football: Everything you need to know about MTSU
Ty Lee, Ty Lee, Ty Lee
Despite standing at just 5-foot-9, Ty Lee has established himself as one of the top receivers in the nation and is currently the NCAA’s active leader in career receptions. And Ty returns kicks.
Containing Lee with the special teams will be another key to winning the game against the Blue Raiders.
Besides Lee, the Blue Raiders will be starting redshirt junior Matthew Stephenson at punter. Stephenson backed up Matt Bonadies who kicked for 2,274 yards last year and averaged 41.3 yards-per-kick. Matthew wasn’t too far behind in his limited action, averaging 40 yards per punt.
The placekicker is Crews Holt.
Prediction
The game against MTSU starts and stops with Ty Lee. Should UM limit the damage caused by the speedy Lee, the game will be over in no time.
Offensively, there is a big question for both teams. MTSU is looking for their new QB1 and Michigan is employing a new scheme under Josh Gattis. Both will struggle, but by half time, Dylan McCaffrey might see the field.
In the end, the Blue Raiders are defeated 45-10, and Shea Patterson earns Big Ten Player of the week after throwing for 350 yards and five touchdowns, only missing on two passes.
MTSU does not reach 350 total yards.
