Hopefuls

Now, we move into the I hope they come but probably not although there might be a shot group of guys.

Joshua Christopher

Class: 2020

Two 247Sports crystal balls have Joshua Christopher heading toward Kentucky; however, the lone bright spot for his recruitment resides in a July interview of Joshua conducted by USA Today Sports. In the article, Matthew Bain writes that when Christopher was asked what schools he’s interested in and Joshua named Michigan first, followed by Arizona State, Arizona, Oregon, Kentucky, Missouri, UCLA, and Southern Cal, among others.

“I wanted Michigan to happen with me, especially when they got the Jordan deal, so I wanted to hear from them,” Joshua said in the interview. “And then Juwan Howard got the job and I was like, ‘Oh my God, that’s really cool.’ There was a lot of buzz going on. And then one day, I got a call that he was going to give me an offer. So I was grateful.”

Joshua also named a lot of other schools which is why he dropped into the hopeful category.

Isaiah Todd

Class: 2020

Like Christopher, Isaiah Todd is one of the best in the country – Todd is 11th with Christopher at 9th – and as such he has gained the attention of everyone from coach K at Duke to coach Edward Joyner at Hampton (which I had to google).

With 23 offers, Isaiah has a lot on his plate as he goes into his final season at Word of God Christian Academy in North Carolina; however, he has narrowed his interests to five schools and Michigan made the list.

Out of those five schools, Todd’s crystal balls have him leaning in the direction of Kentucky.
