Everyone is wondering, who are the starters at each position for Michigan football? Here at GBMWolverine we breakdown the matchups and provide the most likely starters.
Michigan football is back in action and the players, fans, and coaches are pumped for the 2019 season. Jon Runyan said it best in his interview on BTN, “we’re hitting our stride right now”.
In his interview, Shea Patterson expressed his excitement about the balanced offense and more importantly – for Shea’s longevity – they have a “veteran o-line coming back.” A veteran offensive line on just about every watchlist for postseason awards.
Shea also went into the weapons at wide receiver. Those weapons are some of the most powerful in all of college football providing this team with some much-deserved hype. Some of that hype comes in the form of predictions and the pundits out there are predicting this team to go farther than they have gone under the previous four squads under coach Harbaugh.

One of the biggest questions on the minds of the fans was asked at this interview session and that is how is the team adjusting to the new offense?
“Not much of an adjustment,” Shea said. “As soon as coach Gattis came in, we all just kinda adapted fast and it was pretty much natural to us.”
While that interview provides some insight into the new scheme, it’s always better to hear it from the mind behind it all. Josh Gattis was asked to describe his offensive philosophy.
“It’s an exciting offense,” Gattis said. “it’s one that’s built and predicated on putting the defense in conflict. We truly believe in trying to gain an advantage on (the) defense by numbers, angles – obviously some of the RPO stuff that we do and our run game – but making the defense defend 53 1/3 on the field and also defend all eligible skill players.”
