Michigan State

The Spartans have done absolutely nothing to fix the 94 yards of offense they put up against Michigan at home last year. No one was fired and there is little player movement. Brian Lewerke will be handed the starting quarterback role for his senior year and there’s not a soul in East Lansing who would dare question head coach Mark Dantonio.

On second thought, why would they? What the Spartans don’t have on offense they more than cover up for on defense. Joe Bachie, Kenny Willekes, and Raequan Williams are just a few of the names of the guys who will have their name heard during next years NFL draft. Those men are proven with All-Big Ten and All-American titles likely in their future.

While they might have some of the most talented football players on the defensive side, it’s the same defense that gave up almost 400 yards to Michigan on that Saturday afternoon last October. The same core group of guys that allowed Karan Higdon 144 yards on the ground and Patterson over 200 yards through the air.

In the end, this is a heated rivalry and miracles happen on both sides (the mishandled punt).
