One of two true freshmen to ever start at Michigan, Chad Henne came to the Wolverines as one of its top QB prospects of all time. Ranked 18th nationally in 2004, Henne arrived on campus on a mission.

Over his four years, Chad threw for a record 9,715 yards and 87 touchdowns on 1387 attempts.

And the mission wasn’t over.

Drafted 57th overall, Chad presently plays in the NFL for the Kansas City Chiefs. While Henne has seldom been named the starter at the next level, he has accumulated some respectable stats in the NFL (12,960 passing yards/58 touchdowns), making him the most successful on this list so far.

Hailing from Pennsylvania, Henne was expected by many to commit to the Nittany Lions under then-head coach Joe Paterno. If you believe the Penn State loyalists, Chad told coach Paterno he committed – which the Henne family denied.

Henne was – putting it nicely- treated poorly by the Penn State fan base but in the end, Chad got his revenge, going 2-0 against the school and the team went 3-0 overall against Paterno’s teams (Henne was injured for the 2007 game).
