Michigan football is less than 40 days away from hitting the field against Middle Tennessee State. With that in mind, let’s take a look at five frequently asked questions surrounding this team.
The 2020 recruiting cycle has been bountiful and more could commit this weekend at the Michigan football BBQ. Brandon Brown from The Wolverine wrote there will be 16 targets visiting Ann Arbor this weekend, many of them are a high priority and very highly ranked.
While that’s great to hear, it’s important to concentrate on the here and now. The here being 2019 and the now is the upcoming season.
What we know about this offense is that it should look nothing like what we have seen in the past. Offensive coordinator Josh Gattis speaks a lot about speed in space and the run-pass-option which can be seen at just about every other Division I school outside of the military academies. And the players seem to think it suits them.
“This just fits,” Offensive lineman Ben Bredeson said. “I think we were made for this.”
Jim Harbaugh was sold on day one on the idea of revitalizing the schemes and handing the reigns over to Gattis immediately and without question. Jim too feels this offense is what’s best for the program.
New offense and high hopes for this Michigan football team. Still, questions remain.
