Jalen Suggs

The only player on this list that hasn’t released a list of top schools yet is Jalen Suggs. Yet, the player that shares his first name with former Michigan basketball legend Jalen Rose said if he did have a list, the Wolverines would be right there. Here’s what he said to UMHoops recently ($):

"“I don’t really think I have a ranking right now. Everybody’s still in the mix. (Michigan) definitely, have come in and been a priority, showed that I’ve been a priority for them. Michigan and that whole Fab Five — that’s one of my favorite documentaries, one of my favorite teams to watch. I want go back and watch their old film.”"

So not only does Suggs seem to have an interest in Michigan, he has taken to the Fab Five and while UM has been a little late in the game because of when Howard was hired, he has been receptive to the pitch.

Gonzaga appears to be the favorite but other teams like Minnesota, Florida, Iowa State and Marquette are also in the mix.

Suggs has said a lot of good things about Michigan but unless he goes there for a visit, it doesn’t seem like the Wolverines are going to be a legit contender. But even if that ends up happening, landing someone on this list is still a definite possibility for Howard. It will just take a lot of work and maybe even a little luck.
