International football?

Yes, he said it.

When asked about traveling and more specifically, traveling to Mexico City, Harbaugh responded:

“Yeah, you know, we like to travel. Mexico City would be great, I know you can talk about this, we’re scheduling, I think we’re really close to announcing, actually, playing another team on foreign soil. I won’t say what it is because – have you heard anything about this? Then I’d better not say it because we’re probably not ready to release that yet. But I think there’s something really imminent. There will be an announcement soon on that.”

Very interesting news from the Michigan organization and potentially disconcerting considering that could mean the loss of a home game and I need all possibilities on the table when I’m picking my games for the year.

Matt’s musings

A little scary but a lot of potential for excitement. Could you imagine flying to Ireland to watch Michigan defeat Notre Dame, or even somewhere close to home like Canada. What’s certain is there is no location of this earth this Michigan football team won’t travel to. The difference here is it won’t be on vacation it will become another addition to the benefit of becoming a Michigan man and sure selling point for the top recruits from around the country.

Lookout Blarney Stone we’re (hopefully) coming to kiss you.
