Harbaugh said he sees Michigan as the Big Ten favorite

The question might have taken longer than expect to get asked, but eventually, Harbaugh was questioned about his team and all the positive preseason prognostications.

And in a cool, confident, manner, Harbaugh said he agreed with the assessment that Michigan football is the favorite to win the Big Ten conference in 2019.

The media followed up and asked why and Harbaugh simply expanded on something he said earlier, essentially, that he really liked his team; he liked his staff and with all the experience and talent, he expected them to do well.

It’s hard not to agree with his take on the Wolverines. The team has a veteran at quarterback and returns more players that received All-Big Ten honors in 2019 than any other program, including Ohio State.

The staff is also young and hungry. Gattis is going to bring some innovative concepts to this offense and a guy like Campanile, who was a co-defensive coordinator at Boston College last season could do the same for the defense.

Some might criticize Harbaugh of bravado, but in my opinion, it wasn’t that. He wasn’t blowing smoke and he wasn’t saying something he didn’t believe to be true. I honestly believe he thinks he has the best team in the conference. Now, it’s time to prove it.
