TE: Jake Butt

Stats (2013-16): 138 receptions, 1,646 yards (11.9 AVG), 11 TD

Arguably the best tight end in the history of Michigan football, there wasn’t a tight end honor that Butt did not receive.

Hailing from Pickerington, OH, Butt was a two-time All-Big Ten first-team selection. After capturing the Ozzie Newsome Award in 2015, he earned the John Mackey Award as a senior.

It didn’t matter who was throwing the ball to him, Butt got the job done. Playing with Jake Rudock in 2015 and Wilton Speight in 2016, he received back-to-back Kwalick-Clark honors.

Unfortunately, Butt has now torn his ACL three separate times. The first caused him to miss the first two games of his sophomore campaign and the second was in his final game as a Wolverine, the Orange Bowl vs. Florida State on December 30, 2016.

While injuries have affected his ability to produce at the professional level, he left a legacy at Michigan that will be tough to beat.

Honorable mention: Zach Gentry (2015-18)
