Michigan Football: 2010s All-Decade team for the Wolverines
CB: Jourdan Lewis, David Long
Lewis’ stats (2013-16): 135 tackles, 8.5 TFL, sack, 6 INT, TD
A graduate of Cass Technical High School (Detroit, MI), Lewis is one of the best cover cornerbacks to ever suit up for the Maize and Blue.
In his junior season, he set the Michigan football record for pass breakups in a season (22). This helped earn him first-team All-Big Ten recognition in both 2015 and 2016.
Registering six interceptions during his collegiate career, Lewis is perhaps best known for his one-handed, gave-saving interception vs. Wisconsin in 2016.
An All-American in 2016, he also took home the Big Ten Tatum-Woodson Defensive Back of the Year Award.
Lewis was selected by the Dallas Cowboys with the 92nd pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Still just 23 years old, hopefully, he is making an impact for “America’s Team” for a long time to come.
Long’s stats (2017-18): 37 tackles, 2 TFL, 0.5 sack, 3 INT
Long suited up for four games as a freshman, then started each of his last 26.
A lock-down corner, he effectively wiped out one side of the field for opposing quarterbacks.
Over the 2017-18 seasons, the Los Angeles, CA native allowed a reception once just every 32.8 snaps, best in the nation over that span per Pro Football Focus.
A two-time All-Big Ten honoree, Long was elected to the first-team by the coaches in 2018.
