The stretch run

Maryland: W

There are two huge games in November and two games that could be trap games and Maryland is the first trap game. The Terps nearly upset Ohio State last season and have been improving. If the Wolverines overlook them, it could be trouble.

Michigan State: W

Following a grueling three-week stretch, Michigan football will get a bye week ahead of their annual showdown with Michigan State and that could make all the difference. The Spartans should be better in 2019 and this will be a battle. Yet, Michigan is just a better team and it will be motivated to get the first home win against the Spartans of the Harbaugh era.

Indiana: W

Everyone knows how many times Indiana has taken Michigan to the brink in recent years. Harbaugh has escaped two upset bids by the Hoosiers in Bloomington in 2015 and 2017, as well as tough wins at home in 2016 and 2018. This will be another tight game but in the end, the Wolverines will find a way to get to 11-0 heading into The Game.

Ohio State: W

Of course, this is the game that every Michigan fan cares about. It’s also the one that has held back the program in recent years. The last win came in 2011 and we all know about Harbaugh’s record against the Buckeyes.

But this time, things feel different. Urban Meyer won’t be on the opposite sideline and Michigan should have the edge at quarterback too. It’s never had the better coach/QB combo during the past four years, now it does. And with the game at the Big House, the team finally gets it done.
